Like Salman, Karan Johar was listed on Lawrence Bishnoi's target of extortion; Deets inside
Earlier, Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan had receive a threat letter from Lawrence Bishnoi's gang claiming that the actor will end up like Moosa Wale.
Kamble, a close aide of Santosh Jadhav arrested in Moose Wala’s murder case, was interrogated by the Mumbai Crime branch. He was also questioned in connection with the threat letter received by Salman and his father Salim Khan. In his statement, he claimed that Bishnoi’s gang had allegedly planned to extort Rs 5 crore from Karan by threatening him. Vikram Brar, brother of Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar had discussed these plans with him on the social media platform, he said.
However, a senior police officer has warned that these claims have yet not been verified. There is also a possibility that Kamble may be bragging in his statements. Besides this information, Kamble also informed police about the Moose Wala murder conspiracy and future plans of the Bishnoi gang. For the unversed, the late singer was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29.
Speaking of Karan, the filmmaker earlier made headlines when he was blamed for a few Bollywood folks contracting the Covid virus at his 50th birthday party celebrations. “There were stories and media articles that said that it became a super-spreader. Now look, not to get technical about it but we don’t know who contracted it and when because there was a lot happening that week, even in the movie industry. There was another party, there were weddings, there were events, there were shoots, why blame me? Like everything, why does it come down to me?,” he clarified in an interview with Film Companion.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming production ventures JugJugg Jeeyo and Brahmastra .
