Obi-Wan Kenobi gets reviewed bombed by trolls after recent racist attacks against Moses Ingram
Just days after the third episode was released, racist trolls have begun to review bomb the show on Rotten Tomatoes.
Last week actress Moses Ingram who plays the Sith inquisitor, Reva, on the show was attacked on social media by racist trolls, while both the studio and series lead Ewan Mcguire came to Ingram's defense and called out the attacks it seems that this only caused further attacks.
despite being the most-watched Star Wars series on Disney + breaking viewership records with each new episode, the show is now the victim of being review bombed by trolls on Rotten Tomatoes.
There have always been racially motivated attacks on actors of color from certain elements of the Star Wars fan community, actors like John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran were also targets.
The rating for the show dropped yesterday to 57% but it has recovered a little and now stands at 60% on the review site Rotten Tomatoes, while there is genuine criticism against the show, most of the attacks are against Moses Ingram and also calling out Disney's "woke agenda".
Plenty of Dinsey's new shows and movies have been attacked like this the recent example being The Eternals for its representation of LGBTQIA+
Shows like Captain America and the Winter Solider and Moon Knight have also been the victims of online trolls, with the fourth episode set to stream on Disney plus on the 8th of June, we will have to wait and see if the attacks stop and the its review score improves.
Obi-wan Kenobi is set before the events of Episode 4 - A New Hope and follows the Jedi Master Obi-Wan who is in hiding and watching after a young Luke SkyWalker.
The six-episode series is directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed episodes of The Mandalorian .
