Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha love story: From college friends to finding love on the Chamkila set

Shah Rukh Khan once said ‘pyaar dosti hai’. But who would have thought this would turn out to be true for Bollywood’s beloved beauty Parineeti Chopra. Just last weekend, the actress got engaged to Aam Aadmi Party leader and the love of her life, Raghav Chadha. She finally introduced her beau to fans on social media along with breathtaking photographs of the happy couple from the royal ceremony which was held at the Kapurthala House in New Delhi. For months they were making headlines every time they stepped out together. But did you know the love birds kept their relationship under wraps for one whole year?

A report shared by ETimes has revealed that Parineeti and Raghav first met in London years ago when they were studying at the prestigious London School of Economics together. Over time, the two became good friends. Then last year when Parineeti was busy shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film Chamkila with her co-star Diljit Dosanjh, Raghav came to the sets in Punjab to meet her as a friend. The two began hanging out again and eventually fell in love. Thus began a brief relationship where they dated and got to know each other better before making it official in the presence of their friends and family this week.

While Parineeti and Raghav kept mum on the subject even after landing in Delhi ahead of their engagement, the internet got confirmation when the actress’ aunt Madhu Chopra gave the happy couple her blessings. Then on the big day, Parineeti’s cousin sister and global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas flew down to the National capital, which convinced netizens that something big is definitely happening. Later in the evening on Saturday, Parineeti and Raghav announced their union with heartwarming photographs on social media. The love birds were twinning and winning in matching ivory ensembles which were festive yet somber.

Here’s wishing them a lifetime of togetherness!
