On Sunday morning, filmmaker and writer Salim Khan finished his walk and went to sit on the same bench at Mumbai’s Bandra Bandstand promenade on which he sits every day. He was accompanied by his two bodyguards, one of whom noticed an unsigned letter on the bench. It was a death threat addressed to Salim and his actor son Salman Khan , which said: “Salim Khan Salman Khan bahot jald tumahra Moosewala hoga k.G.B.L.B.” The police was contacted immediately and security was beefed up around the Khans. Additional security was provided for Salman, who left for Hyderabad to shoot for his upcoming film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali yesterday evening.

The latest report shared by ANI has revealed that the statement of Salman, Salim and two others have been recorded by the Mumbai Police so far. Currently police is going through footage acquired by 200 CCTV cameras from the area where the letter was found and 10 teams of the Crime Branch along with the local police are investigating the matter. Talking about the letter received by the Khans, the police revealed, “The letter in Hindi said that both Salim Khan and his son would soon meet the same fate as slain singer Sidhu Moose Wala .”

Salim and Salman’s death threat comes a week after politician and singer Sidhu Moosewala’s assassination. He was shot dead near his village and soon Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar took the responsibility of the murder. He even claimed that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi , who had threatened to kill Salman in 2018 over the blackbuck poaching case, was involved in the assassination.
