    Reportedly, Sonam’s family had planned a grand baby shower in Mumbai after having held one in London last month. They had prepared a bohemian-themed party with lavish decorations at Sonam's aunt Kavita Singh’s bungalow in Bandra.

    Sonam Kapoor is all set to welcome her first baby with her husband Anand Ahuja . The actress was all geared up for an extravagant baby shower hosted by her parents- Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor on Sunday. The invitation cards and gift hampers were sent out to their near and dear ones recently. However, the much-awaited ceremony was reportedly called off due to rising Covid-19 cases in the city. Filmmaker Farah Khan confirmed the cancellation and revealed that instead of the big celebration, a small lunch gathering is organized for celebrities at Sonam’s residence.

    A video shared by a paparazzi accounts shows Farah walking towards her car to attend Sonam’s lunch party. When a photographer asked her about Sonam’s baby shower, she replied, “ Sonam Sonam ka baby shower cancel, hum waha lunch karne ja rahe.” Watch the video here:

The reports suggested that Kapoor’s clan- Janhvi Kapoor , Arjun Kapoor , Khushi Kapoor , Shanaya Kapoor, and Anshula Kapoor were supposed to attend the ceremony. Even Bollywood biggies Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan , Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Malaika Arora , and many more were to be part of the function.

    Meanwhile, Sonam is in the final leg of her third trimester. She announced her pregnancy in March. A month later, she held a baby shower in London and shared pictures from the event with the caption, "It's all starting to feel real! This baby is now well on its way and I'm so thankful to Eiesha Bharti Pasricha for throwing the best welcoming party ever, bringing together so many of my favourite people and showering me with love and blessings in the most generous and beautiful way."On the professional front, Sonam will next be seen in Blind directed by Shome Makhija.
