Thor: Love and Thunder- check out Christian Bale's transformation into Gorr the God Butcher in these new BTS pics

Christain Bale who is making his MCU debut in Thor: Love and Thunder is no stranger to transforming his body and face for his roles.

Whether it is putting on 18 kilos and wearing prosthetics for his role in the 2018s Vice or losing 28 kilos for his role in The Machinist.

And it's no surprise the actor brought the same amount of dedication to the role of Gorr.

Gorr who will be the main villain in the movie has recently been the highest tested villain in the MCU even beating the Mad Titan Thanos.

Director Taika Waititi has described Gorr as the most sympathetic villain in the MCU.

Legendary makeup artist Bart Mixon who has worked on moves like Robocop, Men in Black , Star Trek, as well MCU movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: End Game shared new BTS pictures from the movie.

In the series of pictures he posted we can see Bale's transformation, the post also revealed that while the actor shaved his head for the principal photography for Thor: Love and Thunder, he was able to do so for the reshoots, So he had to use a bald cap.

Gorr the God Butcher was first revealed in the trailer for the movie and has received positive responses from the fans, even though the character's appearance was changed from his appearance in the comics.

The minimal use of CGI in the character is also unique for Marvel Studios as often most alien villains in the MCU have used CGI, but this of course is an advantage for the movie as it will allow Christain Bale's performance to shine.

Thor Love and Thunder will be the sixth movie in the fourth phase of the MCU and will hit theaters on July 8th.
