'To be a part of the Don dynasty': Ranveer Singh proves he was destined for the iconic role right from childhood

Ranveer Singh will be carrying forward the legacy of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in Don 3. The actor stepping in as the new Don created a huge frenzy amongst the fans. Amidst this, the actor shared a heartwarming post that proved that he was truly destined to play this iconic role.

Talking about the same, Ranveer Singh shared a series of his adorable childhood pictures. A kiddo Ranveer with a naughty twinkle in his eyes can be seen holding a gun. He can be seen wearing a sleeveless printed white tee and blue shorts. The Dil Dhadakne Do actor wears black sunglasses in the second picture and flaunts his tiny muscles in the third picture. We simply love this endearing ‘Chota Don’ to the core. Take a look at the same.

However, what stood out more was Ranveer Singh’s heartfelt message along with the pictures. The Padmaavat actor wrote, “Gosh! I’ve been dreaming about doing this for a very, very long time! As a child I fell in love with the movies, and like the rest of us, watching and worshipping Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan - the two G.O.A.Ts of Hindi Cinema. I dreamed of growing up to be like them. They are the very reason I wanted to become an actor and a ‘hindi film hero’. Their impact and influence on my life cannot be overstated. They’ve shaped the person and actor that I am. Taking their legacy forward is a manifestation of my childhood dream. I understand what a great responsibility it is to be a part of the ‘Don’ dynasty. I hope the audience gives me a chance and showers me with love, the way they have for numerous characters over the past so many years. Thank you Farhan and Ritesh for entrusting me with this honourable mantle and believing in me. I hope I can deliver on your faith and conviction.”

Lastly, Ranveer Singh said that he hopes to make Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan proud with his performance. He stated, “My two supernovas, The Big B and SRK, I hope I can make you proud. And my beloved audience, as always, I promise you…that I will do my very best to entertain you...in and as...’Don’. Thank you for your love.” The shooting of Don 3 is expected to begin by mid-2024 and it will be released in 2025.
