    It was indeed bad day for Rohit Sharma-led team India at the World Cup final against Australia on Sunday in Ahmedabad. Bollywood luminaries galored the Narendra Modi Stadium for the megaevent which turned gloomy after heartbreaking loss of men in blue. However, b-town celebrities extended support and expressed pride in team India on social media.

    Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “Only love and respect, team India tuff battle but well played.” Ayushmann Khurrana, who watched the match in the stands, took to Instagram and shared glimpses of the match. Alongside it, he penned a thoughtful note for team India that read, “Just a bad day at the office @indiancricketteam 😔🇮🇳 You guys will always be remembered as the toughest side of #WorldCup2023 💪Thank you for the adrenaline!Well played! 🙌🇮🇳.”

    On the other hand, Kajol also shared a screenshot from the live match on TV and wrote in Hindi, “Harkar jitne waalon ko baazigar kehte hai, Well Played team India, Congratulations to Australia on another World Cup.” Cricketer KL Rahul’s brother-in-law and actor Ahan Shetty wrote, “Whatever said and done, this team brought us so much joy. Heads up. You guys were unbelievable throughout the tournament.”

    Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended support to men in blue. "Dear Team India, Your talent and determination through the World Cup was noteworthy. You've played with great spirit and brought immense pride to the nation. We stand with you today and always," he posted on X.The Australian win ended India's dominant run of 10 unbeaten matches at the event. Australia won a record-extending sixth World Cup title with a convincing six-wicket win over India. Meanwhile, B-town luminaries Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and others attended the match event in Ahmedabad. Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan, Shanaya Kapoor and AbRam also joined them.
