The actress took a sabbatical from full-time acting in 2003 for several years. Ever since she has acted sporadically, in films like Dangerous Ishhq (2012) and the web series Mentalhood (2020). On Wednesday, she has been honoured with the Indian Achiever's Award 2023 by Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.

    The actress took to her Instagram handle and shared photos of her receiving the Award on stage. Alongside she wrote, "I am thankful to Honourable Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari ji, Respected Jury Members, and the Power Corridors (PC) for presenting me with the Indian Achiever’s Award 2023. Grateful (folded hands) Jai Hind.” Soon after her close friends and cousins dropped congratulatory messages in the comment section. Amrita Arora wrote, “Congratulations my lalva” Soha Ali Khan, Natasha Poonawalla, Saba Pataudi, and Riddhima Kapoor also wished her congratulations.

    On the other hand, a section of netizens questioned on what basis and achievement she has been honoured with the award.
