Ahsoka: New plot details emerge from the upcoming Star Wars saga
Star Wars: Ahsoka will stream on Disney+ this August.
One of the most anticipated Star Wars shows is the upcoming Ahsoka which stars Rosario Dawson in the lead. The show will focus on Ahsoka Tano's search for the young Jedi Ezra Bridger.
Who allowed himself to be captured alongside the series' main antagonist Grand Admiral Thrawn in the series finale of the Star Wars Rebels series.
According to new rumors, Admirl Thran is trapped in an unexplored part of the galaxy, that is not reachable by normal means.
We do not know if Ezra is at the same location or in another part of the galaxy as the teasers and promotions for the show have been tightlipped about his role in the show.
The series marks the live-action debut of Thrawn a character from Star Wars novels made famous by his appernce in the animated series Stra Wars: Rebels.
Ahsoka is set five years after the fall of The Empire and we see Thrawn has returned and is gathering an Army. In the teaser, Ahsoka refers to the general as Heir to the Empire, a call back to a famous Star Wars novel in which Thrawn tries to take over the galaxy with the clone of a powerful Jedi Master.
The recent teaser makes it clear that Ahsoka and her friends will be facing off against a powerful Sith Lord played by Ray Stevenson and his apprentice played Ivanna Sakhno.
There is a strong possibility that Ray Stevenson's character Baylan Skoll is a clone of the former Jedi Master Joruus C'baoth, who played a major role in the events of the book Heir to the Empire, which might be the source material for the series as well.
While we do see a small hologram of him in the teaser, it remains to be seen how big a role he will be playing in the series. Ezra is a fan favorite and no doubt showrunner Dave Filoni will have big plans for him.
