    Ahsoka

The first teaser for the Mandalorian spinoff Ahsoka dropped yesterday and gave us some exciting details about the upcoming series.

The show will focus on Ahsoka Tano's search for the young Jedi Ezra Bridger, who allowed himself to be captured alongside the series' main antagonist Grand Admiral Thrawn in the series finale of the Star Wars Rebels series.

There is a strong chance that Ahsoka Tano will have a cameo on the ongoing third season of The Mandalorian, which will set up the events for the spinoff series.

So we looked at a few easter eggs and references from the first teaser.

    Grand Admiral Thrawn

The series marks the live-action debut of Thrawn a character from Star Wars novels made famous by his appernce in the animated series Stra Wars: Rebels.

Ahsoka is set five years after the fall of The Empire and we see Thrawn has returned and is gathering an Army. In the teaser, Ahsoka refers to the general as Heir to the Empire, a call back to a famous Star Wars novel in which Thrawn tries to take over the galaxy with the clone of a powerful Jedi Master.

    A new Sith Lord

The teaser makes it clear that Ahsoka and her friends will be facing off against a powerful Sith Lord played by Ray Stevenson and his apprentice played Ivanna Sakhno.

There is a strong possibility that Ray Stevenson's character Baylan Skoll is a clone of the former Jedi Master Joruus C'baoth, who played a major role in the events of the book Heir to the Empire, which might be the source material for the series as well.

    Ezra Bridger

While we saw a bit of Thrwan and the other characters from Star Wars: Rebels, the one person missing from the trailer is nonother than the young Jedi Ezra Bridger.

While we do see a small hologram of him, it remains to be seen how big a role he will be playing in the series. Ezra is a fan favorite and no doubt showrunner Dave Filoni will have big plans for him.

Star Wars: Ahsoka will stream on Disney+ this August.
