The movie retained the number one spot at the box office in its second week, but the movie suffered a 63% revenue loss compared to its first week.

Despite the mixed responses from critics the movie managed to gross 67 million dollars in its opening weekend, the highest ever for Dwayne Johnson's career.

According to Deadline the movie only managed to gross around 25 million dollars at the domestic box office despite the lack of competition.

This also marks the steepest drop in revenue for the actor compared to its other hits, but on a more positive note, the movie did perform better than other DC movies with a lower Rotten Tomatoes score.

Another positive is the fact despite this drop the movie manages to gross past $100 million on Sunday with an estimated $108.4 million haul at the domestic box office, thus bringing the worldwide total to $166.8 million.

Factor in the fact the movie will also be making its release in China in November and Dwayne Johson's popularity in the country, Black Adam is estimated to gross over 400 million worldwide wide.

However the movie ultimately performs at the box office, the movie did manage to deliver its promise that it would change things up in the DCEU and it did by bringing back Henry Cavill as Superman.

And fans can thank Dwayne Johnson for finally talking some sense into the studio and giving Superman his due.

The movie stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Mo Amer, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan.

Black Adam is currently running in theaters.
