Talking about the same, the trailer begins with Hardy arriving in the Laltu in the year 1995. He then makes us meet his four friends who all have one dream which is to go to London. We see him being attracted to Taapsee Pannu’s character Manu who can fight for him against the entire world. Next, we are also introduced to Vicky Kaushal’s character Sukhi who has a habit of flaunting his not-so-perfect English skills. We are then shown their constant quests to travel abroad. Sukhi is also questioned on how he will survive overseas since he does not know how to speak English. He in turn counters that the official sitting in front of him does not know Punjabi but he is not asked the same question. However, the group soon faces a major crisis which changes the tone of the movie.

Shah Rukh and his squad soon face several trials and tribulations along with deathly attacks on them as they cross a tumultuous border. This also leads to Hardy picking up weapons and going rogue to protect himself and his friends. We are then introduced to Hardy in the present stage as a middle-aged man. He also runs a marathon during the same. The wait was worth it for this one as Shah Rukh continues to shine with his energy, intensity, fire, and diverse looks. The supporting star cast also looks in their fullest form.

Dunki has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani. It also stars Boman Irani, Vikram Kochchar, and Anil Grover in the lead roles. The movie will be released on December 22, 2023.
