    The trailer of Vicky Kaushal ’s crime-thriller flick Govinda Naam Mera is finally out now. The movie also stars Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. It is all set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from December 16.

    Talking about the same, the trailer showcases Vicky playing Govinda Waghmare, a man who is frustrated by his wife Gauri played by Bhumi Pednekar with whom he desperately needs a divorce. His wife seems to be a feisty woman who will not easily leave Govinda unless he pays her an alimony of Rs 2 crore. Govinda’s girlfriend is Suku played by Kiara Advani with whom he has a choreography business.

    All hell breaks loose when it seems that Govinda has committed a murder. Even though it is not clear whom he has killed, the trailer hints that it might be his wife. The police also go behind Govinda and Suku who are locked up in jail. There is a hilarious CID reference in the trailer as actor Dayanand Shetty who played Daya in the crime-thriller show also plays a police inspector in Govinda Naam Mera. The end of the trailer also shows that Govinda’s wife knows about his affair with Suku and is nevertheless okay with it. Take a look at the same.

While there are some fun gags that will surely tickle your funny bone, there is also a whodunnit element that starts after a murder takes place in the movie. The trailer of the film received a mixed response from the audience going to the comment section. While some praised the performances of the trio- Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhumi Pednekar, others called the theme of the film a ‘cringe.’ Well, one has to only wait for the OTT release of the film to find out whether it impresses the masses.
