The early reactions to the third installment in the hugely popular Guardians of the Galaxy are primarily positive, with some calling the movie the perfect conclusion.

The movie will hit theaters this May and early box office predictions for the third installment in the franchise were released recently and the moive is expected to gross somewhere between 120 to 155 million from US markets.

This gives Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3 the best opening estimations of the franchise. Currently, Vol 2 has the highest opening with 146 million.

So let's look at the early reactions to the third installment in the franchise.

These numbers and the early reactions are a good sign for Marvel, who are desperate for a blockbuster mainly due to the mixed reception the last few MCU movies have received critically and commercially.

In the movie, the guardians will be facing off against the High High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji), a genius scientist obsessed with genetic modifications and wanting to unlock the next step in evolution.

He has altered himself thus giving himself super strength and speed as well as the power to evolve and devolve lifeforms at will, making him one of the most powerful villains the team has faced.

James Gunn has hinted that this will be the last time we see the original Guardians team up hinting at the death of one or more beloved characters.

And of course, fans are also hyped for the MCI debut of Adam Warlock(Will Poulter), who was created by Sovereign as the perfect being and who has now been tasked with finding and killing the guardians.

Adam Warlock is a being created by the aliens known as Sovereign, with near god-like strength and speed, actor Will Poulter will be playing the role.

The movie boasts a star-studded cast that includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will hit theaters on May 5, 2023.
