Jayeshbhai Jordaar trailer: Ranveer Singh-Shalini Pandey promise to entertain as they run to save their unborn child

When Ranveer Singh ’s first look as Jayeshbhai Jordaar was unveiled, fans predicted that this project will be another feather on the cap for the talented and versatile actor. The fact that it marks Arjun Reddy fame Shalini Pandey’s Bollywood debut also left audiences quite excited. Well much to our delight, the trailer of the social comedy drama was dropped today and it has definitely exceeded our expectations. While Ranveer will be seen as the sarpanch’s son who is next in line, Shalini has portrayed the role of his pregnant wife.

The trailer begins with an introduction of Ranveer’s character Jayesh and his overbearing father, who is the sarpanch, played by Boman Irani . When a girl complains that drunk boys harass her school mates and requests the sarpanch to ban alcohol, he tells them to stop using scented soap because it arouses men. While Jayesh is shocked, he is forced to agree. It gives us a glimpse of their relationship. It is then revealed that Jayesh’s father and mother, portrayed by Ratna Pathak Shah, are hoping that his wife gives birth to a boy who will be there heir. Things don’t go as planned, because that’s how nature works, and Jayesh along with his pregnant wife Mudra and their daughter make a run for it to save their unborn child.

The promising performances and the quirky avatars of the incredibly talented star cast make this trailer a treat for movie lovers. Also, hats off to the team for attempting to spread awareness about female infanticide through an entertaining script. The film seems like a fresh concept and we can’t help but gush over the fact that Ranveer is like a chameleon on-screen who can beautifully transform into any character given to him. We can’t wait to watch Jayeshbhai turn Jordaar to save his family when the movie arrives in theatres on 13th May.
