    The first look of Rajinikanth from the upcoming political drama Lal Salaam was released recently. The superstar will have a cameo in the movie playing the role of Moideen Bhai.

    Now we have a BTS video of the superstar in action as Moideen Bhai, his character in the movie is the owner of a sports academy and we can see the actor in his new avatar in the clip.

    The filming for Lal Salaam officially started in March. The project marks Aishwarya Rajinikanth's return to the director's chair after a gap of 7 years.

    Aishwaryaa made her directorial debut in 2012 with the critically acclaimed movie '3', which starred DHnaush and Shruti Haasan in the lead.

    She would follow this up with the 2015 comedy movie Vai Raja Vai, which starred Gautham Karthik, and Priya Anand in the lead.

    The director's last project was the 2017 documentary Cinema Veeran, which chronicled the life and struggles of iconic stunt masters of Tamil cinema.

    As for Lal Salaam, the movie is produced by Lyca Production in association with Red Gaint Movies. The project also marks the return of veteran Tamil actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar to the big screen after 33 years.

    Currently, Rajinikanth has just wrapped up his portions for the upcoming Jailer. The movie will be the first time Rajinikanth will be working with Kannada legend Shivarajkumar, the movie also marks the actor's Tamil debut.

    The movie will also be the first time Rajinikanth will be working with director Nelson, The director's last movie was Beast which starred Vijay in the lead role.

    Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has also joined the cast of the movie. This will be the second time Rajinikanth and Jackie Shroff will be working together after the 1987 Bollywood movie 'Uttar Dakshin'.

    Jailer

    The movie has an ensemble cast that includes Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Vinayakan.

    Jailer will be hitting theaters worldwide on August 10, 2023.
