    After Nazar Teri Toofan, the makers of Merry Christmas have released another heart-touching song Raat Akeli Thi featuring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.

    As Merry Christmas’ release in nearing, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to keep intact viewers’ interests with intriguing glimpses from the upcoming thriller drama. After Nazar Teri Toofan, the makers have now unveiled another soul-stirring romantic song Raat Akeli Thi showcasing fresh onscreen duo Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s romance. The love song beautifully encaptures the emotions of two strangers who fall for each other on a fateful Christmas Eve.

    Raat Akeli Thi is a perfect blend of romance and melody, and is sung by music sensation Arijit Singh. Maestro Pritam has composed the music, while Varun Grover has penned the lyrics. Sharing the song on Instagram, Katrina wrote, “#RaatAkeliThi whispers secrets you don’t want to miss!Song out now!” Soon after the drop, the netizens showered praises to the song and its lyrics. “Director Sriram raghavan as a superb ear for the music all his films music as been great just cant wait for the album to release bdw this track is one more chartbuster from pritam x arijit,” wrote a user. Another added, “Such a lovely songs after long time slow and sweet melodies songs from this movie.“

    Earlier, the makers had dropped Nazar Teri Toofan which stirred buzz among the viewers leaving them in eager anticipation for the upcoming film. The heart touching song is crroned by Papon, and penned by Varun Grover. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Merry Christmas also marks first collaboration of Varun and Pritam. Talking about the songs, Varun had said “All songs are very narrative-driven and seamlessly become a part of the storytelling. It presents an exciting opportunity for me to capture the essence of the story and the mood while still creating something enjoyable outside the context of the film,”he told Times of India.

    Meanwhile Merry Christmas is set to release in both the Hindi and Tamil versions.The cast also include Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil version features Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kavin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams. Radhika Apte and Ashwini Kalsekar will make special cameos in both versions. Backed by Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures, the film is set to arrive in theatres on January 12, 2024.
