New year treat for Prabhas fans as makers of his upcoming sci-fi thriller Project K release new BTS video

As a new year treats for fans, the team behind Prabha's pan-Indian science fiction epic Project K released the first in a series of BTS videos that will give us an inside look at the project.

Project K has a massive star cast, including the legendary Amitabh Bachchan , Deepika Padukone , and Disha Patani.

The video titled Episode 1, Re-Inventing The Wheel, gives a glimpse into how the team created the futuristic world of Project K.

While plot details remain under wraps, we know that the movie is set in the future and will be set during a third World War.

Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of an immortal with Deepika Padukone playing the female lead opposite Prabhas .

The movie will be Amitabh Bachchan's first full-length role in Telugu, following his previous cameos in Manam (2014) and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019).

The movie is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies with a massive budget of 500 crores and will have a mix of practical and visual effects.

Filming for the movie began on November 2020 but had to go through several delays due to the pandemic, the movie is expected to wrap production in January 2023, with an additional 8 months of post-production.

Cinematography for the movie is being handled by Dani Sanchez-Lopez, who previously worked with director Nag Ashwin on Mahanati.

Awarding-winning composer Mickey J. Meyer has been roped in to do the music for Project K.

Prabhas has just finished shooting his scenes for 'Salaar', his first collaboration with KGF director Prashanth Neel.

Currently, Prabhas is joining the sets of director Maruthi's Raja Deluxe. The movie is currently being filmed in Hyderabad and while plot details remain under wraps we do know that movie is a horror comedy, Maruthi has said that fans will see Prabhas in a never before seen avatar.

Project K is expected to hit theaters in early 2024.
