    Kathir, who won critical acclaim for his performance in Mari Selvaraj’s film Pariyerum Perumal, is all set to enter Mollywood! According to reports, the actor has signed a project with director Emcy Joseph, known for his popular film Vikruthi starring Suraj Venjaramoodu. The upcoming film's title and other cast members have been revealed here! 

    Kathir’s Malayalam debut film is titled Meesha

    The new Malayalam film, starring Tamil actor Kathir, has been titled Meesha and will feature Hakkim Shah, Shine Tom Chacko, Srikanth Murali and Antony in key roles. But the premise or genre of the film is yet to be disclosed, and it looks like the makers are trying to keep the story under the wraps until an official announcement.

    Kathir attained critical acclaim for his performance in Mari Selvaraj’s film Pariyerum Perumal in 2018. The film talks about the discrimination faced by a young man after he befriends a girl who belongs to an upper caste. Following that, the actor went on to do several films such as Sigai and web series Suzhal: The Vortex.  

    Kathir, who was last seen in Thalaikoothal, will be reprising his role as SI Chakravarthy in the second season of the hit Tamil web series Suzhal: The Vortex. The web series is created by the popular director duo Pushkar-Gayathri and will also have Aishwarya Rajesh reprising her role as the female lead. In addition, the actor will also be seen in another web series titled Lingam on Disney+ Hotstar. The actor will also be seen next in Maanavan, which is written and directed by SLS Henry. 

    Post the success of Vikruthi, Emcy Joseph had announced in 2021 that he would be next helming a project titled Ennittu Avasanam, starring Arjun Ashokan, Anna Ben and Roja actress Madhoo who was set to make a return to Mollywood after 10 years. The film was billed as a feel-good story. However, there haven't been any significant updates made regarding the film and is rumoured to have been shelved for now.
