Ishaan Khatter’s war drama Pippa has finally released on OTT platform Amazon Prime on November 10, 2023. Within a few hours of release, the viewers have spammed the micro-blogging site X (formerly known as Twitter) with mixed reactions. While some lauded the war drama as ‘must-watch’, others felt that the shoddy screenplay affected the appeal of the film.

A user’s review on X read, “Technically, #Pippa has everything which could make it a good film but due to avg execution & lifeless screenplay it ends up becoming a dull affair. Great production value, bad music. #IshaanKhattar was a miscast. #MrunalThakur was avg. Good camerawork.” The second user commented, “#Pippa Moreover, we have seen films like Uri (2019) and Shershaah (2021) which were better even in terms of emotional scenes. Pippa is nowhere close. Ishaan Khatter puts his best foot forward but looks too young for the part.”

On the other hand, some netizens gave a big thumbs up to the cast and plot of the film. “@RajaMenon watched #Pippa on Prime. Such a fantastic movie made by you. Perfect casting, no exaggeration in story telling, no unnecessary Over emotional and unrealistic nationalism. It was the best war movie from the Hindi film industry that I've ever watched. Keep making such movies,” wrote a netizen. Another felt that the film should have a theatrical release. “Watched #Pippa it should have been released in theaters.#IshaanKhatter's energy in this movie...is WOW..every scene GOOSEBUMPS...@mrunal0801 ma'am "Ek he to dil hai kitnee baar jeetogi.." u r SUPERSTAR MUST WATCH…,” added another netizen.
