Prithviraj announces the release of a special promo song for his upcoming 'Kappa' along with a new poster

Prithviraj has a great run at the box office in 2022, with movies like Jana Gana Mana and Kaduva, and the actor is hoping to end the year on a high note with Kappa .

Kappa will be the second movie of 2022 in which the actor will be working with veteran Malayalam director Shaji Kailas, their first was Kaduva went on to become the third highest-grossing Malayalam movie of the year.

The first song from the movie titled 'Yamam Veendum Vinnile' and composed by Dawn Vincent was released on Friday and was well received by audiences.

From the recently released trailer for Kappa, it is clear that it is a gritty crime drama set in Kerala's capital city of Trivandrum, the movie will focus on Kotta Madhu played by Prithviraj, and his rise to power from a small-time goon to a crime lord in Trivandrum's underworld.

Prithviraj announced that a new promo song for the movie will be out tomorrow at 7 pm and that it has been composed by James Bejoy, the actor also revealed a new poster for the movie.

Director Shaji Kailas who made his come back to Malayalam cinema after a long hiatus with Kaduva is clearly on a path to reclaiming his title as one of the best action directors in the industry.

The director also has a pandemic thriller 'Alone'which stars Mohanlal and will hit theaters in 2023. The movie will have the duo reuniting after a gap of 14 years.

Currently, Prithviraj has four Malayalam movies that are coming out in 2023 which are Aadujeevitham, Khalifa, Vilayath Buddha, Double Mohanan, and Kaaliyan.

He will also be appearing in the Telgu movie Salaar and the Hindi movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

The movie is written by G R Indugopan, with Jomon T John handling the cinematography with Shameer Muhammed in charge of the editing.

The movie has an ensemble cast that includes Prithviraj, Asif Ali , Aparna Balamurali, Anna Ben, Dileesh Pothan, and Jagadeesh.

Kappa will hit theaters on December 22nd.
