Salman Khan is geared up to host the IIFA awards 2022 and interacted with the press during an event related to the same. The actor spoke about working with South superstar Chiranjeevi in the much-awaited Telugu movie Godfather. However, Salman questioned why Bollywood movies often do not taste success in the South.

Talking about the same, Salman Khan addressed the media saying, “It has been a wonderful experience working with him. I have known Chiru Garu for the longest time. He has also been a friend. His son (Ram Charan) is also a friend. He has done such a fantastic job in RRR . I just wished him on his birthday, and on the success of his film. I am very proud of him. It feels so good that he is doing so well. But I wonder why our films are not doing so well in the south. Their films are doing so well here.”

Talking about Godfather, the movie has been directed by Mohan Raja . The director had recently shared some BTS shots of Salman Khan from the sets of Godfather. Raja had captioned the same stating, “Finished an amazing schedule with the mighty man, sweetness personified, dearmost Bhai @beingsalmankhan. Thanks, Bhai for making this so comfortable and so memorable.” Take a look at the post.

Mohan Raja had earlier also shared a group picture with Salman Khan and Chiranjeevi. He had written, “directing two megastars” along with the post. The movie also stars Nayanthara, Satyadev Kancharana, Gangavva, and others in the lead roles.

Apart from this, Salman Khan also pointed out at the same event how he feels Bollywood lacks a sense of heroism in its movies, unlike South films. The Hum Saath Saath Hai actor said, “We both (South and Bollywood) believed in heroism in cinema. When you come out of theatres, you have a hero. But here, apart from one or two people, we are not making heroism films.”
