    Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani is likely to turn into a franchise, confirmed producers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani . The producers said that the film has an iconic character which can be taken into a second part.

    The film was released in 2019 and proved to be a massive hit at the box office. It was a remake of Vanga’s Telugu film Arjun Reddy that starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles.

    T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar along with Murad Khetani is currently celebrating the success of their recently released horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Talking on its sidelines, when asked if they are looking to spin Kabir Singh into a franchise, Bhushan told Pinkvilla, “I think our film Kabir Singh can definitely be spun into a franchise. It’s an iconic character and can be taken into a second part.” While Murad added, “Yes, the character is so popular that we should think of a story for him.”

    Further, they confirmed that they are also taking the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise forward. “We are definitely taking the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise forward. There is enough scope in the premise and we will announce more details at the right time,” the report quoted them as saying. Also, Murad suggested Bhushan if he would like to make Aashiqui 3.

    Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, is making moolah at the box office. Directed by Anees Bazmee , the film is racing towards making the Rs 100 crore mark soon. It is a standalone sequel of Akshay Kumar starrer 2007 Bhool Bhulaiyaa directed by Priyadarshan. On the other hand, the Aashiqui 2, the second installment of Mahesh Bhatt ’s Aashiqui, featured Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Shraddha Kapoor was also a massive hit of its times.
