Shazam! Fury of the Gods - Three easter eggs from the new trailer you may have missed

The Highly anticipated sequel to 2019s Shazam!, It will be the first DC movie of the new year. The movie will also be one of the last movies of the old DCEU lineup.

2019s Shazam is currently the second-best-rated movie in the DCEU and managed to gross over 350 million dollars worldwide.

The movie will be hitting theaters worldwide in March and ahead of its release DC Studios has released a brand new trailer.

In the sequel, Shazam will take on the Titans Hespera and her sister Kalypso played by Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu respectively. 

The Titans had been imprisoned for centuries but have freed themselves and now are after Billy Batson and the rest of his superhero family to steal their powers and take over the world.

In the new trailer, we get a lot of new footage, especially of the Titans Hespera and Kalypso. We see most of the Shazam family have their powers taken away and it does look like Shazam will have to take on the Titans by himself.

There are a lot of references and easter eggs in the trailer, so we decided to make a list of three major easter eggs you may have missed.

The Golden Apple

In the trailer we see Kalypso, use a golden apple to grow what appears to be a giant tree. In Greek mythology, the golden apple was immensely powerful and grew from a large tree in the Garden of the Hesperides.

It was protected by a giant dragon monster called Ladon, the Greek hero Hercules tricked the Titan Atlas into stealing an apple.

And from the trailer is clear that the golden apple will play a big role in the movie and not to mention that Kalypso has a giant dragon for a pet.

Olympus

We get broef look at what appers to be Olympus, the home Zesus aka Wonder Woman's dad and the other Olympian gods.

Olympus is deseted most likey due to the fact that the Olympian gods are dead or MIA and it now seems to a sort of prsion for the wizard Shazam.

Possible Woman Woman cameo?

While there were a lot of rumors that Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman would have a cameo in Shazam! 2 but with the DC cinematic universe getting a hard reset, so we can't be sure anymore,

However, there is a scene in the trailer where a woman can be seen explaining the story of the Titans and what they are after Shazam.

And there is a chance that this could be nonother than Diana Prince after she has the biggest connection to the Olympian god and there would be few people who would few people to better equipped to help Billy stop them.

Shazam! 2 boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Rachel Zegler, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, Lucy Liu, Djimon Hounsou, and Helen Mirren.

SHAZAM! Fury of the Gods directed by David F. Sandberg will hit theaters on 17 March 2023.
