Thor: Love and Thunder Trailer is here and we finally get our first look at Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher

Just a month after the release of the teaser, the first official trailer for the fourth installment in the Thor franchise is here. The trailer shows Thor reuniting with Jane Foster who is the new wielder of Mjolnir.

The hammer was destroyed by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. How exactly Foster came into possession of the hammer is not clear, but the major reveal of course was the first look at Gorr the God Butcher played by Christian Bale who has plans on killing every god he encounters.

In the comics Gorr was an enslaved person who vowed to kill all the gods for their cruelty after the death of his son, he possesses an ancient sword called The All- Black .

The trailer also gave us a look at Mount Olympus, the home of the Greek gods and of Zeus played by Russell Crowe . Why exactly Thor and his friends travel there hasn't been revealed but it won't be surprising if is ask for help against Gorr.

Marvel also launced a brand new poster for the movie alongside the trailer -

Thor: Love and Thunder features an ensemble cast that includes Chris Hemsworth , Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Taika Waititi Russell Crowe, and Natalie Portman . 

The movie will hit theaters on July 8, 2022.
