Tiger 3 Box Office Day 3: Salman Khan's spy thriller continues its dream run, enters Rs 150 crore club

    Tiger 3 emerged to be Bollywood's third biggest film of the year, earnings till Day 3 calculated after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan and Pathaan.

    Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 has been holding strong at the box office ever since it was released on Diwali(November 12, 2023). After bumper opening of Rs 44 crore, the film’s collection further surged on the following day,crossing Rs 100 crore-mark in just two days. Now, the film has breached Rs 150 crore in the domestic market in just three days of run.

    According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has amassed Rs 44 crore on the third day. The film marked an overall Hindi occupancy of 33.54 percent on Tuesday(November 14, 2023). The worldwide collection now stands at Rs 179.05 crore as per reports. According to film trade analyst, Manobala Vijayabalan, “Tiger 3 has sold a record 14,58,301 tickets from tracked shows alone in India on the 3rd day."

The film not only gave Salman Khan his biggest opening but also became the highest opener on Diwali Day in Bollywood. Salman even went on to score his biggest 3-day total with Yash Raj Film’s spy thriller. Prior to Tiger 3, Salman Khan's biggest openers were Bharat, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.

    Meanwhile, Tiger 3 is the fifth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe series after Ek Tha Tiger Tiger Zinda hai, War, and Pathaan. The film saw Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprise their roles from the previous two films–Tiger and Zoya. Emraan Hashmi plays the antagonist. Besides them, the film also starred Vishal Jethwa, Revathi, Ashutosh Rana and Riddhi Dogra. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film also has a cameo appearance of superstar Shah Rukh Khan that left fans suprised.
