Tiger 3 Box Office Day 8: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer registers decent numbers despite World Cup 2023 final

    Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s spy thriller Tiger 3 was slightly affected by the World Cup 2023 finals on Sunday. The collection saw a dip due to India Vs Australia, however, it still managed to collect Rs 10.25 crore on the eighth day of release. The film’s total domestic collection now stands at Rs 229.65 crore, while on the global market, the film has crossed the Rs 350-crore mark.

    As per the industry tracker Sacnilk, the film had an overall 14.75% Hindi Occupancy on Sunday, with maximum footfall in the evening shows. The film had a great start with an opening collection of Rs 44.5 crore, followed by Rs 59.25 crore and Rs 44.3 crore on Monday and Tuesday respectively. On the fourth day, the film suffered a 52 per cent dip, collecting Rs 21 crore. On the first Thursday, the film grossed Rs 18.5 crore, taking the first-week collection to Rs 187 crore in India. On the following Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the film grossed Rs 13.25 crore, Rs 18.5 crore and Rs 10.25 crore respectively.

    Globally, the film made Rs 95.23 crore on its opening day. The film further added Rs 88.16 crore on day 2, Rs 67,34 crore on day 3, Rs 31.54 crore on day 4, Rs 29.91 crore on day 5, Rs 22.43 crore on day 6, and Rs 32.14 crore on day 7. The film now stands at Rs 366.75 crore at the worldwide box office. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film marks the fifth instalment of the YRF Spy Universe of films after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathaan.

    Starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles, the film focuses on their characters Avinash and Zoya, who undertake a life-threatening mission to clear their names after being labelled as traitors by an ex-ISI agent. Emraan Hashmi features as an antagonist in the film. Besides them, the film also has cameo appearance of Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. Backed by Yash Raj Films, the film was released on Diwali (November 12, 2023).
