Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar trailer: Ranbir and Shraddha desperately want to get rid of each other in Luv Ranjan's not-so-romantic comedy film

Ever since the makers of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar teased the fans with a small glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha’s unseen chemistry, the trailer was much-awaited. As promised, the makers unveiled the trailer today, i.e January 23 and it appears to be the usual love-hate relationship formula of director Luv Ranjan but with a new twist.

The trailer begins with Ranbir’s dialogue ‘aaj kal relationship mein ghusna aasaan hai aur nikalna mushkil’(These days it is easy to get into a relationship and difficult to get out of it.) which seems to be the entire plot of the film. Ranbir's character tries to woo Shraddha's character with bland pick-up lines and the latter agrees to be in a casual relationship. Later, she wants to break up with him but finds herself stuck in a whole situation after each other’s family gets involved and plans their marriage. Toward the end, she tries every possible move to prove him an unfit groom to break the marriage. On the other hand, he, who has seriously fallen in love with her, plans to teach her a lesson for playing with his heart. Watch the trailer here:

Besides Ranbir and Shraddha, the film also stars Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in the supporting roles. The film also marks the first collaboration of Ranbir with Shraddha on the screen. Also, after exactly a decade Ranbir has returned to the genre of romantic comedy after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, marking his film with Luv Ranjan. It is also being reported that Kartik Aaryan will also be seen in cameo role in the movie.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is another offering of director Luv Ranjan’s romantic comedy universe after superhits Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Co-produced by T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar with Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, the film seems to appeal to all sections of the audience from youth to families. It is set for theatrical release on March 8.
