Hungama 2 trailer will be dropped next week; Film to premiere on Disney+Hotstar on July 16

Last month it was reported that Priyadarshan’s directorial Hungama 2, which marks his comeback to Bollywood after 7 years, will take the digital route instead of hitting theatres amid the coronavirus pandemic. The filmmaker was disappointed as he felt the comedy is meant to be watched on the big screen, not alone at home. Well, a few days ago it was suggested that Hungama 2 will premiere on Disney+Hotstar sometime in July. Much to the delight of fans, a tentative date has now been revealed!

The trailer will be dropped next week and Hungama 2 is expected to have its premiere on 16^th July. In a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source was quoted saying, “Hungama 2 will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 16 and it's trailer will hit the digital world on July 1. It has turned out to be a full proof comic entertainer and will bring some laughter in challenging times of this pandemic.” We can expect the announcement for the same very soon.

Starring an ensemble cast of actors including Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffrey, Pranitha Subhash, Rajpal Yadav, Ashutosh Rana and Johny Lever, the film is a spiritual successor to Priyadarshan’s 2003 comedy Hungama. Akshaye Khanna, who played the lead role in the original, will be seen in a cameo this time.
