Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) had been aired long back on 12th January 2009. Ever since, it has become one of those shows that has set new milestones and shown a new way to the makers of TV serials. Not only is the show one of the most successful one of all times, but it is also those shows that could cater to the sensibilities of the audiences for over a decade. 

The show that began with the story of Akshara and Naira and also marked the debut of Karan Mehra and Hina Khan, is now running the story of Kartik and Naira Mohshin Khan and Shivangi Joshi but has been getting just the same mount of love as before. 1. YRKKH is the Hindi show with most number of episodes

The show has been running for a decade now and thanks to the daily nature of this serial, it has already aired over 2800 serials. It is the Hindi TV show that can boast of the highest number of episodes.

2. It is one of those shows that maintained itself even after the leads changed

The death knell of a show is rang when the leads, with whom the sudiences associate the serial with, quit the show. The first one to do so was Karan who was then replaced by Vishal Singh. The next to do it was Hina Khan who played Akshara and on whom the major TRP resided. In fact the character of Akshara was killed, something that is not seen too frequently in daily soaps. The show then went on with Kartik and Naira becoming the lead.

Even after the major changes and leaps, the show has renmained just as popular and is still one of the most loved shows. This is very rare on Indian TV.

3. As many as 6 couples found love on the show.

Right from Hina and Rocky to Mohsin and Shivangi, as many as 6 couples found the love of their life while they had been shooting for the show. The other couples are  Rohan and Kanchi, Lata and Sanjeev, Rishi Dev and Mohena Singh and Anshul Pandey and Priyanka Udhwani.

4. YRKKH also recorded one of the highest TRP in Pakistan 

The show is loved in Pakistan just as much and has also recorded one of the highest TRPs there.

5. The serial has been shot in a number of foreign locations

Talking about perks at work, the cast and crew of this serial are getting many. The show has been shot in a number of foreign locations including Switzerland, Hong Kong, Zurich, Bangkok, Cape Town and Greece.
