Since the last few days, almost everyone had trained their eyes to the countdown timer which was ticking till May 22, 2025, which is today. The reason? Well… today is the time and date when the grand poster of the grand film Kalki 2898 AD was unveiled. And the venue chosen was Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.
The event started off on a grand scale with many acts like motorbike riders doing many daredevil acts and much more… all of these acted as a prelude to the grand entry of everyone’s darling superstar Prabhas! No sooner did Prabhas make an entry, the audiences went berserk with chants of ‘I love you Prabhas’, ‘Kalki, Kalki, Kalki’ and many like slogans, which filled the atmosphere to the tune of multi decibels!
This was followed by the grand teaser featuring Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwathama and a spell-binding performance by The Unbeatables Group. Then, came the introduction of the technical team behind the creation of the film! What followed after that was the grand entry of the day … Prabhas, in his customised vehicle, which will be seen playing a major role in the film!
As for the film, the makers had released the teaser of Kalki 2898 AD around April third week. The epic sci-fi dystopian film, which has been directed by Ashwin, stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in important roles. As for the film’s teaser, it showed Amitabh Bachchan and the character that he will be seen playing in the magnum opus.
In the start of the video, there is a small child who is seen asking Amitabh Bachchan in the said video whether he will be harmed by death or if he is God. This is followed by Amitabh Bachchan’s declaration that he is Ashwatthama, who is Dronacharya's son.
The film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is now all set to be released all over on June 27, 2024. The film will be released in Telugu and Hindi, whereas the dubbed versions will be released in other languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and English.
