Japanese game show Takeshi’s Castle was an integral part of our childhood. The tasks were interesting and watching the participants fail was hilarious. But a major reason why Takeshi’s Castle received so much love in our country was Jaaved Jaaferi’s iconic commentary. So when it was announced that a reboot version would soon go on air, many fans expected Jaaferi to make a comeback. However, it was later revealed that comedian, writer and YouTube sensation Bhuvan Bam will be taking over this time. Much to the delight of fans, Amazon Prime Video has now unveiled his first promo as the beloved Titu Mama in the date announcement video.

We first met Titu Mama on Bhuvan’s beloved YouTube channel BB Ki Vines. Like all the other characters Bhuvan played in his videos, Titu Mama soon became a hit amongst the young audience. Well, in the date announcement video, we see that Titu Mama is actually the owner of a shoe shop. He apparently took a hefty loan and to pay off his debt he is being forced to dub Takeshi’s Castle in Hindi, on gunpoint. He begins the dubbing session by stating: “1, 2, 6. Bohot hai riks. Ae beta! Moshi Moshi.” As expected, he leaves us with a smile on our face towards the end.

In the comment section below, netizens are now celebrating BB. However, many have also expressed their disappointment on Jaaved not returning as the commentator. One social media user shared, “I'm really interested to see bhuvan do this. He has to be on top of his game to come close to the legend Javed sir who did this. He has an enormous shoe to fill 😊”, whereas another netizen wrote: “But Javed Jaffri is an emotion nobody can replace his humour 😊.” A third excited fan shared, “wwoooooooowww. I was hoping it would be Javed Jaffrey, but I'm even more excited to see Bhuvan do this! He's going to nail this for sure!”

Takeshi’s Castle is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 2nd November. How excited are you?
