These days, there are many shows which have made their way on the OTT space. Not all the shows are memorable and not all the shows are forgettable. But there are a few shows in the said space, which really has everyone talking about during its run (read ‘telecast’) and also has everyone wait for the next season once one season is wrapped up. The upcoming show of Panchayat, whose much awaited third season will premiere soon, is one such show.

For the unversed, the series Panchayat happens to be a comedy drama which premiered in 2020, and ever since then, it has become a part and parcel of almost everyone’s lives. It follows the life story of Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar in top form), a graduate who eventually becomes a Panchayat secretary in a fictional village called Phulera. What happens after that is what forms the rest of the series.

The upcoming season of Panchayat will see all the aspects in full throttle. This time round, it's all going to be revolving and rotating around the elections of the Panchayat, inter and intra rivalries amongst the political circles and also the flexing of power in the name of ‘power dynamics’. This season will also see the show’s main protagonist Abhishek being sandwiched between the personal growth of his career and the betterment of the lives of the village folks.

As for the characters, Neena Nupta (who plays the role of Manju Devi, the Pradhan of the village Panchayat), will remain unchanged. Even though she will look after her household and her family, her role will be seen going forward and changing its shape with her getting more involved in election politics this season, as told by the lady herself in Amazon.

As for Assistant Pradhan Prahlad Pandey (played by Faisal Malik), he told the said website that, after the second season ended with his character learning about the loss of his son, the third season of the show will see him dealing with grief and eventually coming out of it.

On his part, the show’s director Deepak Mishra said that, even though he could not reveal much about the plot of the third season, he did say that, this season will witness the brewing of a strong political rivalry, which will take an unexpected form. He also revealed that the season will witness the large increase in the political rivalry between Bhushan (Raghubir Yadav).
