Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat kept the news of their breakup a secret due to this reason?

It was earlier reported that Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat have called it quits which might have left their fans devastated. The former couple had started bonded on the show, Bigg Boss OTT, and had soon realized their love for each other, beginning their relationship. Now, according to the latest development, Shamita and Raqesh had parted ways quite some time back and had kept it a secret.

Talking about the same, a source close to the couple revealed to BollywoodLife that since both Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat are very private individuals, they chose to keep their separation a secret. The source was quoted to say, “Shamita and Raqesh both are extremely private individuals and don't like to be under the media scanner every time. Even when they were in a relationship, they chose not to be in the media eye. And since when they parted ways, they didn't make any announcements or released the statements on the same".

Apart from this, the source said that since Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat had become a brand due to their ‘ShaRa’ tag, they did not wish to garner more attention due to their breakup. The source furthermore added, “Shamita and Raqesh became brands after their exit of Bigg Boss 15 and their popularity was at a peak and so they didn't want to encash that newfound success by only being in news for their relationship or breakup. The couple decided to end it in a very dignified way and their friends and family have equally supported them".

Reportedly, the news of their split had become headlines before too but then, both Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat had denied the news as they were speculated to be working on their relationship. The report added that the former couple eventually grew apart which made them realize that their separation was in their best interests. However, the silver lining remains that the two have called it quits amicably and will continue to remain good friends.
