Archana Puran Singh, Shekhar Suman bring Laughter Champions to replace The Kapil Sharma Show

The popular comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show is set to be replaced by another comedy show titled Laughter Champions . The new show will feature Shekhar Suman and Archana Puran Singh on the judge’s panel.

Taking to Instagram, Archana dropped a new video wherein she is joined by Shekhar and announced their upcoming show. The two had earlier collaborated in Comedy Circus and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

According to Indian Express reports, The Sony Television channel has decided to replace Kapil Sharma’s hosted comedy show with the new show to retain their loyal fanbase. The former show is set to go off air temporarily from next month as the team travels to the USA for a tour.

“Comedy Circus has been a successful project on Sony TV and has even given India many talented artists. With no stand-up comedy show at the moment, the team decided to launch one. While having Archana on the show was a no-brainer, the team decided to play on the nostalgia card and got Shekhar Suman onboard too,” a source close to the development told the publication.

The show will mark the comeback of Shekhar Suman after a long gap on the small screen. He along with Archana has already shot the promo for the new show which is expected to go on floors later this month. It is also being reported that the channel had sought entries for comedians, and the team has managed to find some gems.

Earlier, Shekhar had shared a BTS video from his vanity which shows him getting ready and having a conversation with his team. “Lights, Sound, Camera & Loads of Action… Wait for it💪🏻🎬🤫,” he had captioned the post. Take a look:

Meanwhile, The Kapil Sharma Show has taken a short break as the show host Kapil Sharma is unavailable to shoot new episodes due to his USA tour. However, a few episodes have been pre-shot to continue entertaining fans before they go on a break.
