Bigg Boss 16 finale LIVE updates: MC Stan lifts the winner's trophy for the season in a pleasant surprise for fans

Bigg Boss 16 grand finale evening is finally here and the winner will be declared before the evening is up. MC Stan, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary , Shiv Thakare, Shalin Bhanot and Archana Gautam are competing for the trophy and one of them will be crowned the winner by host Salman Khan at the end of the five hour long grand finale.

Rapper MC Stan has defied all odds to emerge as the winner of Bigg Boss 16 beating his dear friend Shiv Thakare in the finale race. MC Stan's victory was not expected by many but the rapper's fans have proved the power of their love for the contestant by making him win.

Former Bigg Boss contestant Kashmera Shah posted a tweet congratulating Shiv Thakare for his Bigg Boss 16 win confirming the reports that the former Bigg Boss Marathi is indeed the new winner of the Salman Khan hosted show.

MC Stan confronted by girlfriend Booba, Anam Shaikh for flirting with other girls. She also wished for his win on the show.

After Priyanka's elimination, latest reports claim that Shiv Thakare has lifted the trophy as the winner of Bigg Boss 16. An official announcement regarding his win is still awaited.

Proving all predictions and unofficial reports wrong, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary who was expected by many to win the show, has been eliminated from the show as the second runner up. MC Stan and Shiv Thackre will now be competing for the winner's trophy. 

Sunny Deol gave the four finalists a task to pull out handpumps in Gadar style to know their fate in the game. The task led to Archana Gautam's elimination leaving MC Stan, Priyanka and Shiv as the top three finalists. 

Salman showed the first song from his upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan called 'Nayo Lagda' which featured him and Pooja Hegde.

After being eliminated Shalin told Salman on stage that he has looked up to Salman Khan as host and superstar but now wishes to remain single like the Bollywood star after his romantic experience gone wrong in the Bigg Boss 16 house. The actor a cheeky response from Salman who said that he's not single by choice.

Shalin Bhanot was voted out in the fifth place out of the Bigg Boss 16 finale race. The actor says he had his sight on the trophy and didn't expect to be eliminated so soon. However, the actor accepted Ekta Kapoor's offer for a new daily soap Beqaboo soon after exiting the show.

Finalist MC Stan who has often mimicked Sumbul Touqueer's father on Bigg Boss 16 was confronted by him as he joined Salman Khan on the finale stage. After a round of jokes, Sumbul's father said he found MC Stan's mimicry cute and was never offended by it. 

Bigg Boss 16 contestant Abdu Rozik was asked by host Salman Khan to address the rumour about going to the Big Brother house next. Bigg Boss is based on the Big Brother UK format and has previously seen Shilpa Shetty participate and win the show. Abdu confirmed he will be going there next.

Bigg Boss 16 finalists started off their journey by greeting their mothers and Archana Gautam took the opportunity to apologise to Shiv Thakare's mother by getting down on her knees. Archana and Shiv never got along on the show and often got personal during their fights on the show.

Bigg Boss 16 contestants were asked to guess which finalist will be eliminated first. With most contestants guessing Shalin Bhanot's name which turned out to be true, the final prize money was boosted to RS. 31 lakhs after Rs. 10 lakhs was added to the total according to The Khabri.

Gadar stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel arrived on the Bigg Boss 16 grand finale to promote their upcoming film Gadar 2. Former contestant Abdu Rozik also joined host Salman Khan on stage dressed as Sunny's character Tara Singh on stage and even gifted Ameesha a miniature Taj Mahal.

After being offered Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 by filmmaker Rohit Shetty who entered the Bigg Boss house with a task, reports suggest that Shalin Bhanot has been offered a show by producer Ekta Kapoor called Beqaboo.

Bigg Boss 15 finalist and actor Karan Kundrra was spotted arriving on the sets of the Bigg Boss 16 grand finale on Sunday evening. He is likely there to promote his new show Ishq Mein Ghayal which will be replacing his girlfriend Tejasswi Prakash's show Naagin 6 on Colors.

According to unofficial reports going around finalist Archana Gautam has finished her Bigg Boss 16 journey in the fourth place leaving Priyanka Choudhary, Shiv Thakare and MC Stan as the top three finalists.

Comedians Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh brought together all the Bigg Boss 16 contestants together on last time the beginning of the grand finale. Roasting contestants to hosting a rap battle and a game of musical chairs the house was divided between mandali and non-mandali one last time.
