After almost three months of anticipation, Bigg Boss 17 finally got its winner. While Munawar Faruqui lifted the trophy, Abhishek Kumar emerged as the first runner-up. The winning amount consisted of a whooping Rs 50 lakh along with a luxury car. Congratulations have been pouring in for Faruqui on X.

The theme of this season was Dil, Dimaag, and Dum. The housemates were divided into rooms belonging to these three different themes. This season also had its fair share of controversies. While the personal lives of contestants like Munawar and Abhishek became a talking point, Ankita and her husband Vicky Jain’s marriage also came under the radar. Nevertheless, it emerged as an entertaining season that was also hosted by the likes of Karan Johar, Sohail Khan, and Arbaaz Khan apart from the main host Salman Khan.

Interestingly, it was also the stand-up comedian’s birthday today (January 28). Munawar’s personal life grabbed a lot of eyeballs on the show. He was accused of allegedly two-timing by his co-contestant Ayesha Khan. His ex Nazila also broke up with him through a social media live chat. However, irrespective of this, his loyal fans made him the winner of the show through their votes. Munawar won this show after Kangana Ranaut hosted show Lock Upp. He was known for his bond with his co-contestants Mannara Chopra and Abhishek Kumar.

Abhishek Kumar gave a tough fight to the stand-up comedian and emerged as the first runner-up. He was known for his ugly fights on the show but amassed a huge popularity. He was on the show along with his ex-girlfriend Isha Malviya with whom he had some brutal fights. Priyanka Chopra’s cousin and actress Mannara Chopra became the second runner-up. Ankita Lokhande became the third runner-up of the show. While Hyderabadi-based gamer Arun Mahashetty became the fourth runner-up.
