Disha Parmar quits Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 days after Nakuul Mehta’s exit; says ‘I had my apprehensions’

A few days ago, television’s heartthrob Nakuul Mehta broke several hearts when he announced that he is quitting Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 after a successful year and a half. During this time, he not only made fans fall head over heels in love with his character Ram Kapoor, but also left us gushing over his on-screen chemistry with Disha Parmar aka Priya. Nakuul shared that he will miss playing Ram, but knew that it was time to move on. Well, days after his exit, Disha has now revealed that she too has quit the show.

The reason behind Disha’s exit is the new leap in the track. Talking to ETimes, the actress revealed, “Earlier too, when the makers introduced a leap and I had to play a mom to a five-year old girl, I had my apprehensions. But, then the track was very interesting and I enjoyed it. I decided to go ahead with it and it was a great experience. But, now with the 20-year leap, I felt that I have given my best to the show and after one-and-a-half years, it's time to move on. I would not say I am quitting the show, but moving on to new projects and new beginnings.”

Disha concluded by calling Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 a great experience which she truly enjoyed. Well, 18 months ago when it was revealed that Ekta Kapoor has roped in Disha and Nakuul to be the new Priya and Ram, fans had apprehensions. This is because Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, the OG Ram and Priya, had set very high expectations. But Nakuul and Disha managed to create the same magic and soon became one of the most adored on-screen pairs on television. Fans will definitely miss them a lot as Ram and Priya 2.0.

In the latest promo, Hiten Tejwani was introduced as a new character. Sadly, netizens were not too happy about this sudden turn of events. Let’s see what happens in the coming time.
