It's a baby girl! Disha Parmar and Rahul Vaidya announce arrival of their first child with an adorable post

TV actress Disha Parmar and her singer-husband Rahul Vaidya were blessed with a baby girl on Wednesday. The couple, who were expecting their first child, took to Instagram to announce the good news. Sharing a picture of a baby elephant, Rahul informed fans that both baby and mother are healthy. Soon after the news broke, several celebrities showered love and blessings to the new parents.

Rahul wrote, “We are blessed with a Baby GIRL! The mummy and baby both are healthy and doing perfectly well! We would like to thank our Gynaec @dhruptidedhia who was hands on with the baby right since conceiving till birth and special thanks to our family @dnamjoshi & @masuuma at @criticareasiahospitals for giving us the best delivery experience possible! And we are elated! pls bless the baby.”

Bigg Boss 16 fame Akanksha Puri was among the first ones to react to Rahul’s post. She wrote, “Congratulations @rahulvaidyarkv ❤️ You always wanted a baby girl 😍 So so happy for you !! waiting to see your princess,..lots of love to all of you ❤️.” Rajiv Adatia commented, “Sooooooooooo happy for you.” “Nyra Banerjee and Aly Goni also dropped congratulatory messages.

The couple earlier expressed their excitement about the arrival of their first child. They revealed that they already had a name if the baby turns out to be a girl. "Each time we feel the baby’s movements, it hits us that we are going to be parents soon. It is such an incredible feeling. We are excited and waiting to see if it’s a boy or a girl. If it is a girl, we already have a name in mind. If it is a boy, I’m sure we’ll come up with something nice," they were quoted as saying in a recent interview.

In May, Disha and Rahul announced the news of pregnancy to their fans via an adorable post on Instagram. The couple twinned in black and shared a series of pictures holding a slate that read, Mummy and Daddy. They captioned the post as, “Hello from Mummy Daddy to be & the BABY!! ♥️” For the unversed, the couple tied the knot on 16 July 2021. Rahul proposed to Disha on her birthday during Bigg Boss 14.
