Ekta Kapoor, Delnaaz Irani test positive for COVID-19

    TV czarina Ekta Kapoor and actress Delnaaz Irani have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Both the stars are currently under home quarantine.

    COVID-19 infections are constantly on the rise for the last few days. In fact, there was a significant jump in the number of cases, which forced many authorities to take up stringent measures. A partial lockdown has been implemented in many states. Like the aam janta, celebs are also getting affected by the rising number of infections. Now, two more stars have tested positive for the virus. We are talking about TV czarina Ekta Kapoor and actress Delnaaz Irani.

    Taking to her social media, Ekta Kapoor wrote, "Despite taking all precautions I have tested covid pos(i)tive. I am fine and request everyone who has come in contact with me to please test themselves." She also received wishes of speedy recovery from friends in the industry including Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tiwari , Hina Khan , Dheeraj Dhooper, Divya Agarwal , Surbhi Chandna amongst others.     Delnaaz Irani revealed about her COVID infection through an interview. Talking to ETimes, she said, “I was shooting till December 30 and we had an off for the next two days. On December 31, I started shivering, had a high fever and immense body pain. Percy (Karkaria, her boyfriend) and I decided to undergo a test. Fortunately, Percy tested negative, but I was positive.” She also added that she has been feeling 'miserable' as it happened right at the beginning of the year and because she had always been taking all the necessary precautions. She also revealed crying like a child when she got the report and Percy giving her all the support that she needed. Her new show, Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, went on air just a few days back and luckily they have a bank of 12-13 episodes ready now to help the team sail through!

    We wish for Delnaaz and Ekta's speedy recovery. Earlier today, John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal had tested positive for COVID.
