Is Poonam Pandey’s death news another publicity stunt? A close source reveals

The news about Poonam Pandey’s untimely demise shook the entire nation. It came as a major shock and many refused to believe that the erotica actress had actually breathed her last. Some even wondered if this was merely a publicity stunt. For instance, her Lock Upp co-star Munawar Faruqui shared, “Shocking! can’t process the news. Poonam was great human being. Sad. RIP.” However, Bigg Boss 14 runner up and singer Rahul Vaidya tweeted: “Am I the only one who thinks Poonam Pandey is not dead.. ??!!” Meanwhile there was no news about her final rites and her family members were also unavailable for comment.

Well, we finally have some more clarity on this mystery. In the post announcing that Poonam is no more, the actress’ manager had shared that she lost her life to cervical cancer. However, a source in the know has now revealed that this social media post about Poonam’s death is apparently a part of an awareness campaign for cervical cancer. In a report shared by India Forums, the source was quoted saying, “The news of Poonam’s death was quite ambiguous. However, Poonam and her team have been setting up an awareness campaign for cervical cancer. The news of her death is a part of that campaign.”

Even in the comment section of the post shared on Poonam’s official Instagram handle, many netizens had claimed that a patient battling cervical cancer does not die all of a sudden. One social media user wrote: “Cervical cancer patients don't die suddenly, out of nowhere. Just checked Poonam Pandey's Instagram. Until four days ago, she was fine, posting glamorous media. If she is indeed dead, it needs to be investigated. There were reports of a troubled relationship with her husband in the past that involved the police.”

Well, we hope to get confirmation soon from Poonam’s team.
