Naagin 7: Bigg Boss 17 finalist Ankita Lokhande to be seen opposite Ankit Gupta in the supernatural drama?

There has been a lot of buzz regarding the star cast of Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural drama Naagin 7. The show was hinted to be arriving soon when Naagin 6 starring Tejasswi Prakash in the lead wrapped up. Now, the latest reports suggest that the makers are keen on roping in Ankita Lokhande and Ankit Gupta as the main leads.

Yes, you heard that right! According to a news report in BollywoodLife, the makers might be in talks with the two. Earlier many reports have been doing the rounds with the female lead of the show. Names like Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Aisha Singh, Ridhima Pandit, and Daisy Shah were doing the rounds for the role of the shape-shifting serpent. However, ever since Ankita finished her stint on Bigg Boss 17, there were reports of Ekta being keen on casting her for Naagin 7. For the unversed, they share a close bond and the TV Czarina’s cult popular show Pavitra Rishta had catapulted Ankita to a household name.

On the other hand, Ankit’s name has been coming now for the male lead. Earlier Avinash Mishra and Kunal Jaisingh were also some of the names which were speculated to have been approached for the show. Even though there has still not been a confirmation of the same, it will surely come as happy news to their fans if this indeed turns out to be true.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ankita grabbed several eyeballs with her stint on Bigg Boss 17 wherein she emerged as the third runner-up. She was seen participating in the show along with her husband Vicky Jain. She will also be seen in the film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda. On the other hand, Ankit was seen in the show Junooniyat. Before that, he was also seen in Bigg Boss 16 with Priyanka whom he is also rumoured to be dating.
