Actor Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital. The 81-year-old Bollywood icon has been taken to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai's Andheri West neighborhood. According to a source, the actor has received treatment for 'for peripheral, and not coronary heart'. “T 4950 – Aankh kholke dekh lo, kaan lagake sun lo, Majhi Mumbai ki hogi Jai Jaikaar, yeh baat ab maanlo," read the caption of his video. The video showcased some of his memorable moments with son Abhishek Bachchan during the match.

In the past, Amitabh Bachchan has also undergone a surgery for his wrist. Even after his surgery, the actor continued to shoot for his films. Taking to his blog in January this year, Amitabh wrote, “The ISPL, as has been promoted and delivered in adverts, is well on its way to fructification and all the owners and the members that are involved, were needed to be in immortalised picture frames. So yes, a photo cum meet shoot .. a very quick in and out between the evening hours .. with our friends and colleagues .. such a joy .. Akshay, one of the owners .. and an explanation to him about the surgery on my hand."

The Sholay actor has been facing several minor health challenges recently. He had spent nearly a month in the hospital in 2020 while fighting Covid-19. In 2022, he experienced another bout of Covid. Then, in July 2023, he was unable to travel to San Diego due to some medical reasons.
