The fans of the cult K-pop boy band group BTS, better known as ‘ Army ’ might have inevitably been plunged into a state of shock and remorse after the band announced its indefinite hiatus. BTS had announced the same after the BTS FESTA 2022 event. Needless to say, fans will be super disappointed to miss watching their favorite RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin , Jungkook, V, and Suga performing their chartbuster tracks.

The announcement was made by the lead member of BTS, RM in his message to the fans after the BTS FESTA 2022 event. The singer could be heard saying, “For me, it was like BTS was within my grasp till ON and Dynamite. But after Butter and Permission To Dance, I didn’t know what kind of group we were anymore.” He hinted that while the group will not be disbanded but they will be taking an indefinite hiatus to focus on their personal lives and solo music career.

RM furthermore said that BTS has lost its direction and that this hiatus is needed for them to undergo a sense of introspection. He went on to say, “Whenever I write lyrics, it was important for me to give out a message, but that was gone now. I don’t know what kind of story we should tell now. I kept feeling trapped within myself and tried shrugging it off, and take time off, but kept postponing as something or the other kept coming up for BTS, the world wouldn’t let me. We’ve lost our direction, and I just want to take some time to think. I'm afraid that I'm not living up to fans' expectations. I'm also afraid that I had begun speaking for the group, just because I was more fluent in English, and it made me more guilty.” The fans of BTS have also been expressing their disappointment on social media but are also being cooperative to give some time to their favorite band to unwind.
