Pooja Bhatt’s production set in UP

There were reports that film-maker Pooja Bhatt’s next production, directed by Kaustav Narayan Niyogi, will be set in Kolkata and Jharkhand. But there has apparently been a change of plan and the makers have now decided to shoot the major part of the film in Uttar Pradesh (UP). “The film was supposed to be shot in various parts of India, including Kolkata and Jharkhand. But before Pooja and Kaustav could leave for Kolkata for a recce, the co-producer of the film, Raju Chadha, suggested shooting in UP,” says an insider from Chadha’s production house.

Apart from Chadha, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series is also one of the producers of Pooja’s film. It’s likely to go on the floors in the first week of June. When contacted, Rahul Mitra from Chadha’s production house, says, “More than 80 per cent of the movie is now set in UP. It will be shot in Lucknow, Benares, and 36 other locations in the state.”
