Ever wondered how your favorite pop sensations Taylor Swift, Madonna, and Beyonce get into shape before their concerts? In a recent interview with Time, Taylor said, “Every day I would run on the treadmill, singing the entire set list out loud. Fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs. Then I had three months of dance training because I wanted to get it in my bones.” This has led to a wave of curiosity amongst fans to know what goes into the fitness training of these singers before an important tour.

Celebrity trainers speak about the singers getting in shape

Be it Taylor’s Eras Tour, Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour, or Madonna’s Celebration Tour, it is clear that these ladies do not leave any stone unturned to ensure that they are in the best of shape not only to look good but also for their various activities on stage which includes dancing, sprinting and even interacting with the fans. Celebrity trainer Dan Roberts who interacted with The Guardian recently said that different artists have different objectives. The trainers who spoke with the publication could not name their clients though due to a non-disclosure agreement. He said, “Someone like Beyoncé, for example, has got very energetic dance routines, whereas Liam Gallagher can just stand there.” Roberts furthermore said that most of the celebrities start training almost three months before their show.

Taylor Swift's team's extensive prep before her Eras tour

Another celebrity trainer Jono Castano said, “A lot of them know what they need to do: what to eat, how to train. It’s about reminding them and keeping them accountable.” Roberts added that Taylor’s prep for the Eras Tour includes a vast team that takes care of her every need and requirement when it comes to fitness. From routine strength, fitness assessment, and nutrition to daily massages, everything is being taken care of.

Dan said stars like Madonna who have been in a senior position in the industry can be control freaks with their trainers. He added, “That’s not an insult. It’s why they’re so ridiculously successful. But it’s very hard coming into that as a trainer, no matter how good you think you are because as soon as you make a stand, you’ll get fired.” On a concluding note about Swift, Roberts admitted that he had not worked with her yet but added that “She’s built those muscles and energy levels up over the past 15 years.”
