    Legal Battle Unfolds

The legal complaint, submitted to the New York Supreme Court, contends that Oscar-winner Foxx, known as Eric Bishop in real life, utilized his status as a prominent celebrity to carry out the alleged actions. The woman, identified as Jane Doe in the court documents, is additionally bringing legal action against Catch NYC & Roof and its owner Mark Birnbaum. The lawsuit accuses them of being "negligent" and of "failing to exercise reasonable care to prevent the described actions" outlined in the legal proceedings.

In the unfolding legal drama, the lawsuit asserts that Jamie Foxx allegedly leveraged his celebrity standing to engage in the reported actions. Filed at the New York Supreme Court, the case is brought by an individual identified as Jane Doe. She not only points fingers at Foxx but also targets Catch NYC & Roof and its owner, Mark Birnbaum.

A representative for Foxx told Deadline on Thursday, "The purported incident did not occur. In 2020, the same individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn, which was promptly dismissed. The claims remain as unsubstantiated today as they were then. We are confident that they will be dismissed once again.

Following their dismissal, Mr. Foxx plans to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against this individual and her legal representatives for re-filing this baseless action."
