Taylor Swift is a true blue cat mom, here is all you need to know about her three adorable felines

Taylor Swift is a true blue cat mommy and dotes on her three felines namely Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button. The cats have not only made an appearance on her social media handle and music videos but have had a significant impact on her career too. In an earlier interview with TIME, the singer had said, “I have cats. I'm obsessed with them. I love my cats so much that when a role came up in a movie called Cats, I just thought, like, I gotta do this.” Here is all you need to know about her three adorable cats.

Meredith Grey

Taylor got Meredith back in 2011, a Scottish Fold whom she named after the cult famous character from Grey’s Anatomy. In an earlier interview, the ‘Love Story’ singer had said, “"She is awesome. She's, like, the most adorable cat in the world.” Grey is also a star herself as she featured in Ryan Reynolds’s t-shirt in Deadpool 2 and was also seen in Taylor’s music video ‘Me.’ Well, Meredith is also super shy and left fans worried when Taylor did not post much about her on her social media handle. The singer had to assure everyone that Grey was doing fine. Swift had said, “The truth is, Meredith just hates having her picture taken."

Olivia Benson

Taylor bought Olivia in 2014 and she is also named after Mariska Hargitay’s character from Law & Order: SVU. Mariska also met the feline interestingly which had made for an endearing moment. Just like Meredith, Benson also made an appearance in Deadpool 2 and in the music video ‘Me’ plus an ad campaign with the ‘You Belong With Me’ singer. Swift had shared a glimpse of Olivia helping her stretch for the 2018 Reputation stadium tour. She also accompanied her mother at the 2019 Billboard Awards and had a fangirl moment with Paula Abdul.

Benjamin Button 

Taylor bought Benjamin in 2019 and named him after the Brad Pitt film. Benjamin was adopted by the ‘Lover’ singer from the sets of the music video ‘Me.’ Recalling her adopting Button, in a throwback podcast, Swift had said, “He was just a cute kitten who didn't have a home. She handed me this tiny cat and he just starts purring and … he looks at me like, 'You're my mom, and we're going to live together.' I fell in love.” She also included him in her Tik Tok video back in 2021.
