Ajayante Randam Moshanam to clash with Barroz this Onam? Here’s the major update!

It was officially announced that Mohanlal’s ambitious debut directorial film, Barroz, will be released in theatres this Onam, September 12. Now, producer Listin Stephen of Magic Frames Production has confirmed that his next production venture, Ajayante Randam Moshanam, which is headlined by Tovino Thomas, will also be hitting the big screens on September 12. It is also being reported that the producer is planning to release a Dileep-starrer during Onam as well!  

Although an official announcement is awaited, if reports are to be believed, then we will get to see two of the most-awaited Malayalam period dramas competing during Onam at the box office. 

Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Barroz share a similar theme?

Directed by Jithin Laal, Ajayante Randam Moshanam revolves around Maniyan, Kunjikelu and Ajayan, who try to protect the most important treasure of the land.

On the other hand, Barroz is a period fantasy film that is based on the novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure by Jijo Punnoose. The plot revolves around Barroz, who has been tasked with protecting Vasco da Gama’s hidden treasure for more than four centuries. His only duty is to safeguard the wealth until it is passed on to a true descendant of Vasco da Gama. 

So, it looks like both of the period films have treasure protectors as their central characters, making them both intriguing watches.

Work on the VFX, sound, and music of Ajayante Randam Moshanam is currently going on. Other important updates about the project are expected to be out soon.

Besides Tovino, the movie also stars Basil Thomas, Aishwarya Rajesh, Krithi Shetty, Surabhi Lakshmi, Jagadish, Aju Varghese, Rohini, Harish Uthaman, Nisthar Sait and Pramod Shetty. Jomon T John is the cinematographer, while Dhibu Ninan Thomas has composed the songs and the original score for Ajayante Randam Moshanam.
